MIDWEST MAGIC JUBILEE SPECIAL EVENTS
Spouse Events
For those of you that are attending the Midwest Magic Jubilee and not
really interested in all of the magic we are planning some events
for the non-magicians. There will be one event on Friday and two to choose from on Saturday.
Below is a description of the two events. We would like to get an idea
on how many will attend in advance, if you would please email back and
let us know which one or both and how many will be attending. More information
will be given at registration on the 1st day of the convention.
Saturday, Aug 31, Noon -4 p.m.
Ameristar Casino, St Charles, MO. This is a beautiful place to take in a few hours
of trying your luck at the Casino. It’s gaming action unlike any other. Glowing with the excitement. With its stunning stained-glass skylights, our award-winning 130,000-square foot casino has a Victorian look. But there's nothing dated about what it contains: The latest, most popular slot and video poker machines, a wide variety of table games and one of the last live poker rooms in the market. Not to mention its adjoining streetscape is full of first-class restaurants, entertainment spots, and more. The flashing lights and the ringing bells may draw you in, but it’s the friendly dealers and the helpful staff that will keep you coming back for more non-stop action.
For lunch, there is
a nice selection of nine different eating establishments which you can take advantage, from casual and contemporary to fine dining, their restaurants will stimulate your senses and stoke your passion for irresistible cuisine. There is a $5 transportation
fee. The hotel shuttle will take us to Ameristar Casino. Buses will leave at 12:00PM. You can have lunch there
and try your luck as some of the gaming tables or slots and then we will head back at 4:00PM to return to the hotel.
Sunday, September 1, 10am-2 p.m. We will visit Main Street in Historic St. Charles MO.
A town that runs along the Missouri River that is lined with homes
that were restored
from the early 1800’s where Lewis & Clark started. The brick
lined streets have small gift, craft and antique shops that number
more than you can imagine. There are all kinds of attractions including
crafts, food, and entertainment. Not to mention the restaurants that
you
may
want to sample before heading back. There’s also a Trolley bus
that can take you from one end of the shopping district to the other
end at no charge. So bring your walking shoes and a shopping list.
Just in time for some early Christmas Shopping! Buses will leave
the hotel
at 10AM and pick up for return at 2PM. A $5 transportation fee will
apply.
Fees are due upon registration at the convention.
